01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pat wings dry and season evenly with salt and black pepper.
02 - Arrange chicken wings on a wire rack set over a rimmed baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
03 - Turn wings over and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and nearly cooked through.
04 - Brush wings generously with barbecue sauce. Return to oven for 5 minutes, allowing the glaze to become sticky.
